The Alumni Sprints League awards the Race for Berlin Prize to the men’s alumni eight and women’s alumni eight accumulating the most total points in the league’s ‘Race for Berlin’ (RfB) competition across its annual racing season. Age restrictions do not apply and athletes of any age may compete. People who race in the Alumni Sprints League’s age-restricted events may also compete in RfB, and vice versa.
The Race for Berlin Prize features entry into the qualification-based Rowing Champions League final, Europe’s premier short-distance championship regatta, watched by more than 30 million people. It includes, as well, payment to help support the winning crews’ costs of travel.
The Rowing Champions League in an exclusive partnership with the Alumni Sprints League recognizes RfB as a qualifying competition.
